EThekwini Municipality is a metropolitan municipality in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. Created in 2000, it includes the coastal city of Durban and its surrounding towns and rural areas. The Zulu word eThekwini means “ocean and bay lagoon”. The landscape features a warm, subtropical climate, extensive beaches, hilly regions, gorges, and ravines. The municipality’s composition of urban, semi-urban, and rural environments presents a challenge for sustainable development.
Job Purpose
- Co-ordinates and controls specialized/technical plumbing tasks/activities by organizing materials and issuing instructions and guidelines.
Essential Requirements
- Trade Tested Artisan (Plumber). Basic First Aid and Basic Safety certificate or to be completed within 6-12 months from date of appointment.
- Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code C1).
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- 3 years relevant post qualification experience.
